One of my favorite things about the magic of crocheting is that I can make anything cute; yes, literally anything. Snakes, spiders, toilets, leaves, and, yes, dinosaurs! Anything can be taken from creepy, crawly, or uninteresting and made into a lovable, huggable, adorable, amigurumi stuffy. Another one of my favorite things about crochet is that you can make a real-world thing look like whatever you want. This is partly how we can make a T-Rex a desirable toy; through unique colors, shapes, sizes, and even added pieces. You will notice that some of these “T-Rex’s” have spikes or other unique features originally not attributed to the Tyrannosaurus Rex. This is an added flare and creative license very unique to crochet!

1. Squish-A-Saurus

Pattern by Repeat Crafter Me

This pattern uses Red Heart Super Saver yarn, so not only is it perfect for beginners, but it’s affordable too! It includes a free download and a comprehensive tutorial video to aid with assembly!

2. Easy Dinosaur T-Rex

Pattern by Rose and Lily Crochet

This YouTube dinosaur tutorial includes step-by-step narration for extra support. She uses “Flutterby” chunky plush yarn and 9-millimeter safety eyes. This video is under thirty minutes, so this is also a quick project to make while you watch your favorite show or movie.

3. Crochet Dinosaur

Pattern by Jess Huff

Projects with little sewing are my favorite, which is why this one is a sure winner. It also does not have any color changes for simplicity! The designer puts it perfectly: “What a sight for saur eyes!”

4. Baby Dino

Pattern by Ami Amour

What’s cuter than a crochet dinosaur? A baby crochet dinosaur! This cute dino pal would be a perfect stash-buster or gift for the dino nerd in your life. You could even crochet a little hatched egg to match!

5. Mini Chunky Dino

Pattern by Love & Crochet

This pattern works up with chunky yarn, so you can get it done in no time flat. With a quick, cute, and squishy result, who wouldn’t want to make one of their very own?

6. Bernard the Dinosaur

Pattern by Paintbox Yarns

While this Bernard the Dinosaur is technically a Halloween stuffed animal, it can easily be customized to different seasonal colors. This one’s a great one to practice colorwork, and it also only uses simple stitches!

7. Bob the Dinosaur

Pattern by DROPS Design

Bob the Dinosaur only has one seam, making him a very low-sew project. He is easy peasy and perfect for gifts, or to keep! Customize his color to be a traditional green or a fun and shocking purple… whatever you fancy, my friend.

8. T-Rex DINOsaur

Pattern by Bumcraft Crochet

This free pattern has no stitches harder than a half-double crochet. It has an hourlong detailed tutorial, and the cutest finished stuffy! The designer uses Yarnart Jeans yarn in the colors yellow-green and green.

9. The Friendly Dino

Do you miss the floppy, ragdoll feeling of your stuffed animals of old, worn out from years of love and good times? Do you want to have that nostalgic feeling from the very first hug? This pattern achieves that by being simple by design. This one is just destined to be someone’s next favorite toy!

10. Cute and Easy Dinosaur

This caricature of a dinosaur is the sheer essence of simplicity and playfulness. Shape almost like a doodle a child could have drawn, even its design reminds me of the simple joys in life. When asked what type of dinosaur this was, the designer responded, “He’s a Generic-asaurus. Lol.”

11. Chonky Dinosaur

This “chonky” crochet dinosaur is perfect if you want a dinosaur with the cutest look ever! “He’s super chubby and cuddly! And you can make him with however many spikes you want,” the designer mentions. Customize the colors for Christmas, and these would be awesome stocking stuffers too!

“The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.”

~ “A Visit From St. Nicholas”

This classic line is sure to get us in the Christmas spirit, and what better way to celebrate than crocheting some festive stockings? Whether you want to make stockings for your family and hang them on the fireplace mantle, or branch out and make other stocking-themed decorations, you’ll find the perfect free pattern in this round-up!

1. Mini Sweater and Stocking Ornaments

Let’s start with an adorable mini stocking that can be used as a Christmas tree ornament. For this project, you’ll need sport-weight yarn and knowledge of easy stitches. The stocking will work up very quickly, and best of all, you can also make a matching tiny sweater ornament!

2. Mini Stocking

Here’s another cute mini stocking that would make a fantastic ornament! This one calls for DK weight yarn and also uses very simple stitches. Plus, the bow and frilly trim are adorably festive.

3. Ridgewood Stocking

Here’s a festive stocking made with traditional Christmas colors, though of course you could always choose any two colors that fit your fancy. It’s made with bulky yarn, with standard yarn for the body of the stocking and fluffy faux-fur yarn for the accents. The pattern calls for basic stitches plus front-post single crochet, and there are plenty of helpful photos to guide you as you crochet.

4. Christmas Stocking

This stocking is fun, soft, and simple! You’ll need bulky chenille yarn such as Premier Parfait, in either white and red or your two favorite colors. The pattern uses easy stitches and even includes a video tutorial, so this is a perfect beginner project!

5. Granny Square Crochet Stocking

If you enjoy crocheting granny squares, this is the perfect stocking pattern for you. The granny square design is a great way to incorporate all your favorite seasonal colors. Best of all, the pattern uses easy stitches and even includes a video tutorial!

6. Granny Christmas Stockings

Here’s a mini granny square Christmas stocking made with DK yarn. Each stocking is made with just three rows and then folded and sewn, so you can make a bunch very quickly. These tiny stockings would be a great décor item because they can be ornaments or part of a garland, or you can use them as stocking stuffers. The pattern uses easy stitches, includes a stitch chart, and uses both US and UK terminology, so it’s very accessible for beginner crocheters!

7. Large Christmas Stocking

And if mini stockings aren’t quite your style, check out this jumbo Christmas stocking that will fit tons of presents! This stocking is made with jumbo chenille Bernat Baby Blanket yarn, so it’s soft and cozy. You’ll need to know basic stitches plus the mini bean stitch, and the pattern links to a tutorial for that one. Best of all, there’s no sewing required!

8. Country Cottage Stocking

Here’s a lovely traditional Christmas stocking option that you can make in either a solid color or with stripes. You’ll need either weight 4 or weight 5 yarn depending on how large you want your stocking to be, and the pattern calls for only simple stitches plus front-post double crochet, which is explained. And there’s a video tutorial, so this is a good pattern for beginners who want to branch out and learn new skills.

9. Crafty Boho Stocking

Want a stocking with more texture and pizzazz? This Crafty Boho Stocking uses the bobble stitch to achieve a fun bubbly texture, and it has fluffy trim and pom-poms! You’ll need both worsted yarn and faux fur yarn, plus knowledge of the bobble stitch and how to do increases and decreases with half double crochet. There’s a video tutorial, so you’ll be able to make this stocking even if those stitches are new to you!

10. Malia Christmas Stocking

This is a super cozy Christmas stocking that features my favorite notion: buttons! You’ll need weight 4 yarn, and make sure you do a gauge swatch before you start crocheting the stocking. The pattern calls for simple stitches plus the large bean stitch and working in the third loop. Both are described in the pattern, so if you’re ready to learn new skills, check out this pattern!

11. O’ Christmas Tree Christmas Stocking

Here’s the first of four gorgeous and festive stocking patterns by Jennifer of A Crocheted Simplicity. I absolutely adore the Christmas tree texture that this one features! For this project, you’ll just need worsted yarn and knowledge of basic stitches.

12. Diamonds & Fur Christmas Stocking

This stocking has a stunning diamond design created with a shiny white yarn to evoke a snowy Christmas morning. The faux fur trim adds a lovely pop of coziness, as well. For this pattern, you’ll need to know easy stitches plus the standing single crochet, standing double crochet, and invisible decrease, which are all explained. There are also helpful instructional photos to guide you through creating the diamond motif.

13. Houndstooth Christmas Stocking

The houndstooth pattern of this stocking reminds me of a cold but cozy Scottish Christmas. To make this stocking, you’ll need worsted yarn, faux fur yarn, and knowledge of the standing single crochet stitch and invisible decrease, which are both described in the pattern.

14. Buffalo Plaid Christmas Stocking

Let’s look at one last pattern from Jennifer. The plaid is so Christmas-y, and you could make it in reds or greens instead of greys if you want an even more festive look. As with Jennifer’s other patterns, you’ll need to know the standing single crochet and invisible decrease, and by now I’m sure you know that she explains these in her patterns!

15. Crocheted Stocking Advent Calendar

If you don’t feel like making a normal stocking, why not crochet an advent calendar? This is such a fun pattern, and it’s super customizable: you can use whatever colors you want, and change up the design for each of the 24 mini stockings. The pattern calls for super easy stitches, and there’s a very helpful video tutorial for the heel portion of the stockings.

16. Christmas Tree Stocking

Here’s a stocking made with bulky yarn, and you can choose your favorite festive colors. The pattern uses easy stitches and includes written instructions and two video tutorials: one for right-handed crocheters and one for left-handed crocheters. Plus, the tree applique is so fun!

17. Holly Stocking

Here’s a stocking that’s sure to put you in the holiday spirit with its fun, festive holly applique. The pattern includes detailed instructions and only requires simple stitches, so this is a good beginner project.

18. Waiting For Santa Stockings

These fun striped stockings can be made in a variety of Christmas colors. The pattern includes three sizes, so you can make stockings for the whole family. Plus, the stitches are easy, so it’s a good beginner pattern.

19. Alpine Christmas Stocking

This alpine stocking has a lovely texture and is made with worsted-weight yarn. The pattern calls for a few slightly complex stitches, but they’re all described, so this is a good pattern if you’re looking to branch out and learn new skills. Plus, there are lots of pictures to help you as you crochet.

20. Fabulously Festive Christmas Stockings

With six colors of worsted-weight yarn used per stocking, this pattern is the perfect way to express your creativity! The pattern calls for easy stitches plus the puff stitch, invisible join, and double crochet decrease, and there are quite a few color changes, so you’ll want to wait until you have a bit of crochet experience before you dive in. The pattern does have lots of useful pictures, and the holly applique is so festive!

21. Berry Beautiful Stocking

Let’s finish the round-up with this gorgeous wintery stocking. You can use a soft purple or blue to evoke the snow, or a red or green for a festive design. The pattern uses the berry stitch, which is a modified version of the bobble stitch, to add a fun texture. And don’t worry: the pattern explains this stitch! You can make this stocking in either a standard size or a mini size, and it even has fun optional pom-poms!

So what stocking will you be making this year? Any of these patterns will look amazing above your fireplace, and hopefully you’ll find your stocking full of gifts from Santa on Christmas morning!

If an avid crocheter watches Wednesday, Enid and Wednesday’s snoods will certainly turn their head. Clearly crocheted, these snoods are both cute and functional, and they work up quickly by using bulky yarn. Watch the episode entitled “Quid Pro Quo” for the information surrounding these garments!

Wednesday and Enid dolls are both included in this pattern that is for sale on Etsy. It turns the characters into cute, chubby dolls, similar to a bobble head! I especially love their hair in this pattern; it is spot on with the TV show!

7. Uncle Fester and Lightbulb

Pattern by Mengys

Uncle Fester’s cameo in Wednesday brings comic relief to an otherwise gory narrative. His goofy personality with a grain of concern is heartwarming and slightly revolting. You can crochet Wednesday’s crazy uncle in no time with this fun pattern.

8. Pugsley Addams

Pugsley Addams, Wednesday’s unassuming little brother, helps show Wednesday’s human side when she continues to try and look after him in the show. In her own quirky display of sisterly love, she releases piranhas in her high school’s swimming pool as revenge for her brother’s bullies. No Wednesday doll would be complete without Pugsley as well!

9. Ajax Petropolus’ Beanie

This YouTube video includes a text pattern onscreen and a visual demonstration as well!

13. Carnivorous Plant Purse

Here is another unique carnivorous plant pattern. This one however, is a vibrant statement bag. Who would not enjoy putting something in your bag, only for it to appear that your bag is “eating” it? Another fascinating nod to Ms. Thornhill, the Nevermore dorm mom and botanical science teacher.

14. Enid Shawl

This free pattern was originally a crochet-along, which you could still use if you have trouble sticking with a pattern or project. It uses colorful yarn for the main body of the shawl, symbolizing Enid Sinclair’s half of her and Wednesday’s shared dorm room. The trim is spider web-like and black, symbolizing Wednesday’s side.

15. Wednesday’s Snood

Pattern by Lisaauch Crochet

This free crochet pattern is a replica of Wednesday’s snood, gifted to her by Enid. It is not an exact pattern; instead it is a list of instructions on how to craft a snood to fit your head, and also a detailed explanation of how to wear it. The air is getting chilly, the leaves are starting to turn—it’s fall! Whether your favorite part of autumn is admiring the falling leaves, celebrating Halloween or Thanksgiving, or curling up in your cozy home, you’ll find the perfect crochet fall décor patterns in this round up! Let’s get started!

1. Ribbed Crochet Pumpkin (Knit-like!)

Pumpkins are a classic piece of fall décor, so why not add some of these beautiful ones to your home? This pattern is extra fun because it gives a knitted look while still using crochet! You can make your pumpkin in any fall color, though I especially love multi-color yarn. Best of all, the pattern uses simple stitches plus the foundation stitch, which is explained.

2. Chunky Crochet Pumpkin Pattern

These are classic autumn pumpkins made with Lion Brand Wool-Ease, a cozy chunky yarn. The pattern includes instructions for three sizes, so you can mix and match to make the perfect decorations. Plus, these pumpkins work up quickly and easily, and the pattern includes lots of helpful photos.

3. Crochet Plaid Pumpkin

Plaid is a classic fall print, so combining it with a pumpkin pattern was a stroke of genius! Just choose your three favorite autumn colors, make sure you’re comfortable with color changes and basic stitches, and you’ll have some gorgeous décor in no time!

4. Crocheted Pumpkins in Two Sizes

Want a more realistic looking crocheted pumpkin for your home? Here’s the perfect pattern! These amigurumi pumpkins can be made in two sizes, have a fun curly vine, and are worked in the round with easy stitches. This is a great beginner project!

5. Crochet Pumpkin Treat Bowl

One of my favorite parts of autumn is Halloween candy, and this is a great little bowl to store some tasty treats! Of course, if sugar isn’t your thing, you could store most anything in this pumpkin! This is a good beginner pattern because it only uses single crochet and can be made quite quickly.

6. Crochet Fox Pumpkin

Want to make some pumpkin décor with a twist? Check out this adorable fox pumpkin! It even has a tail! The pattern calls for easy stitches, and you’ll also need to know how to crochet into the sides of rows. The designer has included a video tutorial for that skill, so this is a great choice if you’re a beginner crocheter looking to branch out. Also, the size is customizable: if you want to make the smaller fox, use just one strand of yarn, and if you want to make the bigger version, hold two strands together.

7. Pumpkin Gourd Trio – Fall Applique

Here’s a fun fall applique that’s made of three sizes of pumpkins. It’s super customizable since you can choose your three favorite gourd colors, and whatever shades of green and brown you like for the leaves and stems. This is a quick and easy project because it only uses basic stitches plus the picot stitch.

8. Falling Pumpkin Dishcloth & Hot Pad

There’s nothing better than functional home décor, and this pattern includes instructions for both a dishcloth and a hot pad. Just make sure to use cotton yarn rather than acrylic to protect your creation from hot dishes, and only include a felt Jack-o’-lantern face if you’re going to use this as a decoration instead of a kitchen item.

9. Great Harvest Pumpkin Coasters

Need a place to set your pumpkin spice latte? These gorgeous coasters are another functional piece of décor! They’re super easy to make and work up quickly, so if you’re new to crochet, this pumpkin pattern is a good place to start.

10. Apple Coasters

Pumpkin patches aren’t the only place to visit in the fall—picking apples at an orchard is another wonderful way to spend an autumn day! These apple coasters are fun, functional, and a breeze to crochet. They’re especially perfect for setting down a steaming mug of apple cider.

11. Fall Leafy Banner

Falling leaves are another staple of autumn, so let’s dive into some beautiful leaf patterns! For this banner of maple leaves, you can choose all your favorite fall yarn colors. This pattern is a great way to use up scrap yarn, since each leaf only needs a small amount. The pattern is pretty simple, since it uses basic stitches plus the petal stitch, which is described, and includes plenty of photos.

12. Fall Leaf Garland

Here’s another beautiful garland made up of a different type of crochet leaves. The project uses simple stitches, works up quickly, and is another great way to use up scrap yarn. It’s a nice pattern no matter your learning style, since it includes written instructions, photos, and a stitch chart.

13. Leaf Coasters

These leaf coasters are delicate and lacy, almost like doilies. They’re made with lightweight cotton yarn for heat protection, and you’ll need to know easy stitches plus the picot stitch. The pattern is written in UK terms, so make sure to check out this explainer if you want to convert the pattern to US terms.

14. Crochet Maple Leaf

Here’s a gorgeous maple leaf that you could use as a coaster, turn into a garland, or just sprinkle around your home to bring the falling leaves indoors. You’ll need size 5 bulky yarn and knowledge of basic stitches, and you’ll have a bunch of leaves in no time!

15. Crochet Oak Leaves

We can’t leave out the oak trees! This pattern is quick and easy to make, and has both written instructions and a stitch chart. Best of all, it includes both US and UK notation, so you can make these leaves no matter what side of the pond you hail from.

16. Autumnal Acorns

Trees are dropping their acorns during fall, too, so let’s check out some acorn décor! These cute acorns can be made into a garland or placed artfully around your house. They’re very customizable because you can use all your favorite colors, and while the pattern calls for sport or DK-weight yarn, you could make them with smaller or bigger yarn. Imagine how fun it would be to have a cuddly acorn made from jumbo blanket yarn! And best of all, they’re quick and easy to make.

17. Woodsy Acorn Pots

Need to store something? Why not in a cute acorn pot?! You’ll just need worsted yarn and knowledge of basic stitches. The pattern includes both written instructions and a stitch chart, so it’s very easy to follow.

18. Acorn Jar Cozy

You can also make a beautiful acorn cozy for your mason jars. The texture is absolutely gorgeous, and you only need to know basic stitches plus the bobble stitch, which is explained in the pattern.

19. Rustic Crochet Pumpkin Garland

We’ve already covered a few fall-themed garlands in this round-up, but there are even more that will add a touch of autumn to your home. This pumpkin garland is easy to make—you’ll just need worsted yarn, fiberfill stuffing, and knowledge of simple stitches.

20. Black Cat Garland

This cute black cat garland is purrfect for Halloween, but you can keep it up all fall! The pattern calls for Aran yarn, though you can use a lighter weight to make the garland smaller, or a bulkier weight to make it bigger. And you’ll just need to know easy stitches plus double-triple crochet.

21. Fabulous Fall Wreath

Wreaths are a great way to welcome guests to your home with fall décor. They take a bit longer than some of the other patterns in this round-up, but once you’ve gotten into the rhythm of crocheting leaves, you’ll be able to work quickly. Just make sure to pick up any special wreath-making supplies each pattern calls for.

The Fabulous Fall Wreath looks just like the forest floor, filled with leaves, acorns, and grapes. You can choose all your favorite autumn yarn colors, and you’ll only need to know simple stitches plus the picot stitch.

22. Apple Wreath

This apple wreath is great if you enjoy apple picking, if you’re a teacher, or if you just love apples! Once you’ve made the first apple, the next ones will be a breeze. The pattern calls for mostly single crochet, so this is a good beginner project.

23. Crochet Autumn Leaves Wreath

Here’s one last fall wreath, made with worsted-weight yarn and basic stitches. You’ll also need a straw wreath that you’ll wrap in yarn, and then yarn to make the leaves, acorns, and vines that are glued on. Assembly is pretty easy, so this wreath works up quickly!

24. Fall Coasters

Another important part of fall décor is table settings, especially if you’re hosting Thanksgiving dinner! These coasters are made with a beautiful combination of five autumn colors, and there are lots of photos to guide you as you crochet. The pattern is written in Swedish, but you should be able to easily and accurately translate it using Google Translate.

25. Clusters of Fall Coaster

Here’s another gorgeous coaster, and you can make this one in a solid color or with multiple yarns. I think it’d look especially nice in a gradient yarn. For this project, you’ll need to know a variety of cluster stitches, which are all explained in the pattern and which give the coaster a lovely texture.

26. Nutmeg Nibbles Placemat

These placemats are perfect for a dinner gathering. They’re made with a “feathered” stitch, and the pattern includes a video tutorial, so this is a good project if you’re a beginner who feels ready to branch out and learn new skills. You’ll need a lightweight weight-3 yarn, and make sure you choose 100% cotton so the placemat won’t be damaged by hot dishes.

27. Autumn Textures Blanket

And of course you’ll want décor that makes your home cozy as the autumn weather gets chillier! This blanket is sure to keep you warm while also adding a fall vibe to your house. It’s made with Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn for ultimate coziness, and it uses basic stitches to achieve a fan-like pattern. There are lots of step-by-step videos and written instructions, so this is a great beginner project.

28. Crochet Throw Blanket

This blanket is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s perfect for fall, especially in the mustard color the designer chose. There are no color changes, which makes it a good pattern for beginner crocheters. It’s made with soft Bernat Blanket yarn and the size is completely customizable. Once you get the hang of the alternating rows, it’ll work up super quickly!

29. Autumn Skies Afghan

Last but not least is this stunning blanket that combines all the colors of fall’s changing skies. It has a beautiful lacy chevron design that’s achieved with easy stitches and color changes. This blanket is lightweight, so it’s great for the transition from summer heat to cooler fall days.

So, how will you be decorating your home this fall? Let us know in the comments! From pumpkins to leaves, and garlands to blankets, there’s sure to be a quick and easy crochet pattern that strikes your fancy!

If crocheting with normal-sized yarn just isn’t enough fun for you, you should try micro-crochet. Experience a lot of fun in an even smaller package by using thread instead of yarn! With both a written pattern and video tutorial to follow along with, this is the perfect pattern to take the plunge into your first miniature crochet. Additionally, if you have already crocheted a doll, you can make this little cutie so your doll has their own pet bunny or stuffed animal!

3. Mini Crochet Backpack

Who wouldn’t want a mini backpack to attach to their full size one? This pattern is special because the designer has the pattern for several different sizes in order to help you get used to smaller and smaller threads, if you are a micro-crochet beginner. Pattern by Meraki Studio

Do you love pink? Do you love birds? Do you love cute little flamingo crochet patterns? Do you need any more reason to start this mini flamingo crochet project? 5. Mini-Moogle

Pattern by The Fuzzy Bee

Are you a fan of the Final Fantasy video game? If so, this Mini-Moogle crochet pattern is perfect for you! This pattern would be considered a beginner plus pattern due to the use of wire in the make-up part of the project. However, this is a great introduction to making structured crochet projects in addition to micro-crochet! This pattern is written in UK terminology, but she includes a conversion chart for US terms, if necessary.

6. Pink Perennial

13. Christmas Gnome Ornament

Pattern by Raffamusa Designs

I know, I know, we already have a gnome pattern in this list, but I promise, this one is different! Sporting an adorable scruffy beard, this gnome pattern is amigurumi (as opposed to the earring pattern we saw previously)! It is advertised as a Christmas ornament, but it could be so versatile for many more occasions and holidays. Change the colors of the hat and outfit for an Easter, Halloween, or even a Saint Patrick’s day gnome! The only limit is your imagination with this cute micro-crochet gnome.

The pictures show it as a keychain, which would be an adorable gift for anyone, but you could do so many other things with them too! They could be attached to a mobile for a cute baby shower gift, or even hanging in the rearview mirror in your car. The designer also has an additional pattern linked on the step-by-step tutorial for a normal size owl which could easily be applied to this one, if you need some additional support.

Halloween is almost here, which means it’s time to pull out your yarn stash and make some fun and spooky projects! One of my favorite parts of Halloween is ghosts—whether they be cute, spooky, or a bit of both!

This round-up is full of free amigurumi ghost patterns, but before diving in, it’s important to make sure you understand amigurumi and have all the tools you need.

Amigurumi is a Japanese crochet style that involves making cute characters or creatures. You’ll need yarn and a hook, of course, as well as stuffing (most common is polyester fiber filling, but you could also use scrap yarn) and something to give your ghosts a face. Great options include safety eyes, felt, yarn, and embroidery thread. A stitch marker will also come in handy, especially when crocheting in the round.

Now that you’ve gathered all your materials, let’s dive in!

1. Plush No-Sew Crochet Ghost

This amigurumi ghost is a great beginner project because it doesn’t require any sewing! There are also helpful photos and even a video tutorial, and the pattern calls for basic stitches plus the shell stitch, which is described. The best part is that the ghost is made with super-bulky chenille yarn, so it’s both cute and cuddly!

2. Boop the Crochet Ghost

This ghost is the perfect project if you prefer working with regular yarn over chenille yarn, or if you just want your ghost to have cute little arms. Boop the Ghost is made with sport weight yarn and easy stitches plus the shell stitch.

3. Baby Ghost (No-Sew!)

This baby ghost is absolutely adorable, thanks to its cute cheeks and tiny arms! I’ve used this pattern before, and it’s quick and easy. You just need velvet yarn and knowledge of basic stitches plus the cluster stitch.

4. Jumbo Ghost (No-Sew!)

Want a bigger ghost? Check out this jumbo ghost pattern by the same designer! It’s a great beginner-friendly pattern because it only calls for basic stitches and doesn’t require any sewing. Plus, the ghost is made with velvet yarn so it’ll be super cuddly! The pattern doesn’t include instructions for the witch hat accessory, but it does direct you to that pattern, and you could also customize your ghost by adding a different hat!

5. Round Plush Ghost

This ghost is super cute and squat! It’s worked in the round with worsted yarn. It’s very beginner-friendly since the pattern only calls for basic stitches and a tiny bit of sewing. Plus, who can resist adding such an adorable face?!

6. Ghost Cuddler

Here’s another ghost by the same designer, but this one is worked as two main pieces and then crocheted together. I love that the face is made with felt, because you can choose to give your ghost any expression! The pattern calls for easy stitches plus the invisible join and sc3tog decrease. This is a great project if you’re a beginner looking to learn new skills, because there’s a video tutorial for the invisible join and a description of how to do the special decrease.

7. Boo the Fiendishly Friendly Ghost

This ghost is so adorable with her little witch hat! Her “tail” even looks like a spiderweb, so she’s ready for an extra spooky Halloween! To make Boo, you’ll need Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran yarn or a similar aran-weight yarn, plus knowledge of basic stitches.

8. Mini Ghost

This ghost is so cute and looks just like a little wisp! The dapper bowtie accessory is particularly fun. For this project, you’ll need Premier Parfait Chunky, which is a lovely soft chenille yarn. This is a very beginner-friendly pattern since it calls for easy stitches and only a tiny bit of sewing.

9. Mini Candy Corn Ghost

Once you’ve mastered the Mini Ghost, you can make this candy corn themed version! It’s almost the same pattern as above, so it’s still beginner-friendly—just make sure you’re comfortable with color changes before you start crocheting.

10. Crochet Ghost

These ghosts are so tiny and adorable! They’re made with worsted yarn and basic stitches, so it’s an easy project. If you want tighter stitches or just want to practice a new skill, you can use the yarn-under technique, but it’s not vital to making a cute ghost. The best part of this pattern is that it includes lots of helpful instructions and photos!

11. Amigurumi Ghost

These tiny ghosts are extra fun because they come with accessories! You can give your ghost a witch hat, a pumpkin hat, or leave it plain—it’ll be perfectly spooky for Halloween no matter what! Just grab some worsted yarn and make sure you’re familiar with basic stitches, the bobble stitch, and working in the front loop only and back loop only.

12. Ghost Amigurumi

With his tiny pumpkin, this ghost is ready for fall! He has such a fun wispy head and tail, and he’s quite easy to make! The head and body are crocheted as one piece, so there’s limited sewing. The pattern calls for simple stitches, though you will need to know how to do a “short row”—don’t worry if you’ve never done this before, since the pattern has detailed instructions and lots of helpful progress photos.

13. Crochet Pocket Ghosts

These ghosts make great Halloween decor because they can light up if you add a tea light! The pattern includes three versions, and they’re all so cute and spooky. This is a perfect beginner pattern because it includes a video tutorial and only requires basic stitches.

14. Crochet Ghosts

If you want to make some Halloween-themed pillows for your house, these amigurumi crochet ghosts are the perfect choice! They’re made with bulky blanket yarn and easy stitches, so they’re soft and cuddly and they work up quickly! You’ll also need a small amount of worsted yarn for the bow—you can make a ghost with a hair bow, one with a bow tie, or a cute matching set like the designer did.

15. Ghost Froggy

Halloween is all about dressing up, so why not crochet an amigurumi frog who’s donned a ghost costume? Not only is the ghost froggy super cute, but he also works up quickly and is made with easy stitches. Plus, the pattern includes useful progress pictures.

16. Little Ghost

With his pumpkin hat and big eyes, this little ghost is absolutely adorable! The pattern calls for DK yarn, which is perfect for a tiny ghost, but you could also choose a different yarn weight if you want your ghost to be bigger or smaller. This is a good beginner pattern because it doesn’t require much sewing, uses easy stitches, and has links to tutorials for the invisible decrease and other techniques.

17. Dapper Ghost

This dapper ghost looks amazing with his top hat and matching bowtie. The ghost is made with worsted yarn and easy stitches, so it’s a good project for beginners, especially because there are lots of progress photos.

18. Mini Amigurumi Ghost Ornament

This cute wisp of a ghost makes the perfect keychain. You can crochet your ghost in any color—maybe you want calming pastels like the designer used, plain white for a conventional ghost, or bright oranges and greens for a spooky Halloween twist. These ghosts work up super quickly and are made with basic stitches plus the picot stitch, which is explained in the pattern.

19. Ghost Buddy

Last but not least is this cute Ghost Buddy keychain. It’s actually part of a set of four Crochet Halloween Character Buddies, so once you’re done making your Ghost Buddy, you might also want to make the black cat, pumpkin, and Frankenstein’s monster. You’ll need just a bit of worsted-weight yarn for each one, and the ghost is made with easy stitches.

Halloween is almost here, and one of the holiday’s most classic treats is candy corn! From cuddly amigurumi buddies to accessories like keychains and hair ties, this round-up has something for everyone to crochet this autumn!

But before diving in, let’s make sure you have everything you need to successfully craft amigurumi. Yarn and a hook are important, of course, but you’ll also want stitch markers to keep track of your stitches while working in the round, as well as fiber-fill stuffing and something to give your characters a face. Some of the most common materials used for amigurumi faces are safety eyes, yarn, and felt.

Got everything you need? Let’s get started!

1. Candy Corn Amigurumi

First up is this adorable amigurumi candy corn buddy. This is a great beginner project because it’s easy to make and works up quickly. You’ll need a small amount of white, yellow, and orange sport-weight yarn—or you could use a bulkier yarn to make a fun plushie!

2. Crochet Candy Corn

With their big eyes and little smile, these tiny candy corns are super cute! They barely use any yarn, so they’re a great project if you have scrap yarn lying around. And even beginners will find this pattern easy to follow, since it calls for basic stitches and includes links to tutorials for both a regular decrease and an invisible decrease.

3. Amigurumi Candy Corn

Here’s a chunkier candy corn option, though it’s still made with worsted-weight yarn. These amigurumi candy corn look great either plain or with a sweet face! And they’re very easy to make because the pattern only calls for basic stitches, has tons of helpful photos, and even has a tutorial for invisible color changes.

4. Two-Piece Amigurumi Candy Corn

This candy corn is more pillow-like since it’s made of two pieces worked in rows rather than one piece worked in rounds. The pattern calls for super basic stitches, and you can give your creation any face you want, though I love the designer’s choice of big eyes and a tiny mouth. It’s just too cute!

5. Candy Corn Keychain Amigurumi

This candy corn keychain is a sweet way to decorate your keys, purse, or backpack for Halloween! You’ll need just a tiny bit of worsted-weight yarn, so this is the perfect project for using up scrap yarn. Plus, you’ll only need to know simple stitches.

6. Crochet Candy Corn

Here’s a great beginner pattern that includes detailed instructions and helpful progress photos. Just pick up some worsted yarn and be ready to do basic stitches plus the whip stitch. You’ll have an adorable candy cane buddy in no time at all!

7. Candy Corn Amigurumi Hair Ties

Hair ties are another fun accessory for the Halloween season! In this pattern, the hair tie is crocheted into the candy corn rather than attached later, so it’s super durable. You’ll need a tiny bit of worsted weight yarn, and the yarn tails will act as stuffing, so you don’t even need fiber fill! Plus, the project only uses simple stitches, so it’s a great beginner choice.

8. Candy Corn Amigurumi Buddies

Check out these adorable candy corn characters! Isn’t the zombie version so creative? I love that they’re super customizable, so you can use whatever colors you want and give them whatever expressions and details you want. The pattern is written in Spanish but you can easily translate it to English using Google Translate. Plus, there’s a helpful video tutorial!

9. Crocheted Candy Corn

These candy corns are quite small, so you can make a bunch for decor or Halloween party favors. The pattern calls for worsted-weight yarn, but if you use a lighter weight, they’ll turn out even tinier! They’re extremely quick and easy to make since they use basic stitches and only consist of 9 rounds.

10. Amigurumi Kawaii Candy Corn

These candy corns are basic but cute, and they can be made in two sizes! As long as you have some worsted yarn and know simple stitches, they’ll be a breeze to create. The pattern has detailed instructions and lots of photos, so it’s perfect for beginner crocheters.

11. Candy-clops

This designer went all out with her Halloween pattern, making it a mix of sweet candy corn and a spooky Cyclops! For this project, you’ll need either a large, colorful safety eye, or you could make both the eye and the mouth out of felt. The best part? The pattern only calls for easy stitches.

12. Candy Corn

Here’s a cute and fuzzy amigurumi candy corn! To make one, you’ll need bulky chenille yarn and knowledge of basic stitches. It works up quickly and easily, so it’s a good choice if you’re new to crocheting.

13. Candy Corn Amigurumi Character

With its legs and grumpy face, this amigurumi character is such a fun take on candy corn! It’s not the “sweetest,” but it’s still cute! For this project, you’ll need bulky chenille yarn, felt for the face, and knowledge of easy crochet stitches.

14. Easy Plush Candy Corn Amigurumi

This amigurumi candy corn is made with soft yarn and has an adorable smile that’s sure to brighten your day, even if the fall weather is overcast outside. For the absolute perfect plushie, I recommend following the designer’s advice and using Premier Parfait Chunky yarn. If you’ve never used a chenille yarn before, this pattern is a great choice because it only calls for basic stitches, so you can focus totally on the yarn.

15. Candy Corn Food Friends

These candy corn friends are so sweet! I especially love the version with the cute, floppy arms and legs. This is the perfect pattern for beginner crocheters since you only need worsted yarn and knowledge of easy stitches, and there are tons of instructional photos!

16. Candy Corn Amigurumi Keychain

Here’s another candy corn keychain—short, squat, and oh-so-cute! It’s very small, especially if you follow the designer’s advice and use fine/sport-weight yarn, so it’s perfect for accessorizing keys or a purse. The pattern calls for simple stitches plus the corner stitch, which is explained and is very easy to learn.

17. 3 in 1 Candy Corn Cuties

Last but not least is this three-in-one, super sweet amigurumi candy corn pattern. The three versions are a plain candy corn, a candy corn with tiny arms, and a candy corn with fun, dangly arms and legs. You’ll need bulky chenille yarn plus knowledge of basic stitches and the bobble stitch.

So which candy corn amigurumi will you be making this Halloween season? No matter what you choose, your creation is sure to turn out sweet as can be!
